Sam walked out of an older looking apartment complex, hands shoved in her pockets, and a blue beanie covering her wild hair. Adjusting the black messenger back hanging from her shoulder, she took off down the cracked sidewalk. Stepping over weeds, she headed to the coffee shop nearest to the apartment complex.
 
Dillon sat on the back of the city bus, headphones in his ears, small worn book in his lap. His head bobbed to some repetitive tune from the 80s and his fingers drummed nervously against the side of his book. He hated public transit. People were.. gross. And rude.

Sam Dreshner--nineteen, manic depressive--sat on the couch, cigarette in hand, clutching her bag as always. She looked around skeptically. Today about half of the ward, including her roommate, had been discharged. That was okay, her roommate had been a bi.tch. The problem was, they'd be sending in a new one out of the batch of crazies coming in. She hoped she'd get a good anorexic or something, someone she could bribe to get her sleeping pills with the diet pills she kept in her bag. The small group of new patients was let in, looking around helplessly like baby ducks.
 
Damien Hall--twenty-one, sociopath--laid in the floor of what passed for a game room: pin ball, fooseball, things you couldn't hurt yourself or others with. Some people just thought he was zonked out on meds and left him alone. Others thought he was rude and distant and bugged him anyways. He sighed as the new residents were being given a tour, able to hear them rustling about in the hall. A small mousey girl he'd seen in passing poked into the room and walked over to him, causing him to raise an eyebrow and sit straight up. "Yes?"
